Sobrasada from Mallorca is a cured spreadable chorizo.
This is the spicy version and comes in a 280g sausage.
How does it work?
In Mallorca they prepare the chorizo in a much wider casing comparing with the traditional sausage from the peninsula.
As the humidity is very high in the island, the chorizo gets cured but it doesn’t dry out.
After 30 – 35 days, it is already cured but keeps the spreadable consistency.
It is ready to be used! Just take it out from the fridge and experiment with it. There are lots of recipes you can prepare.
Shelf life is + 5 months. Once open keep prefrigerated and consume within 2 weeks.
