Ventresca, or the belly, is the gourmet cut of the fish. It is sometimes referred to as “the foie gras of the tuna”. It is rich, smooth and mouthwateringly delicious.

These tuna fillets are a real delicacy, ready to enjoy straight from the tin. Ventresca is different from other parts of the fish, it has a very characteristic flavour, much subtler and more refined, which make it an exquisite delicacy.

Description

We use only fish of the finest quality from the deep waters of the Bay of Biscay. Yellowfin Tuna are individually line caught. This prevents other species such as dolphins being caught in the process; thus ensuring the sustainability of the marine environment.

The finest parts from the Yellowfin are carefully selected and canned with olive oil and sea salt alone, the traditonal way.

The ‘International Food Standard’ and the ‘British Retail Consortium (BRC)’ ensure the maximum standard of quality, endorse our ‘Know How’, and guarantee that our products comply with the most stringent food safety requirements.
