This is the Gran Reserva Rioja fit for your finest occasions. Delicious notes of roasted coffee, plum and strawberry. Aged for over 2 years in expensive French oak barrels.
  • Grape variety: 85% Tempranillo, 8% Garnacha, 7% Graciano
  • D.O.C. Rioja
  • Vintage: 2015
  • Colour: Deep red leading slightly towards clay-amber.
  • Nose: Balsamic notes of vanilla, black fruit, red fruit and spices with fine wood hints.
  • Palate: Background of ripe plum, sweet spiced and roasted notes
  • Vineyards: Selection of vines grown with old, low-yielding vines. Tempranillo comes from plots at various altitudes (400 to 620 meters) which gives complexity due to the different terrains. The Grenache is grown in Rioja Alta at high altitude with the aim of achieving good acidity as well as structure. Graciano, for its part, comes from Rioja Alavesa, and brings delicacy, acidity and colour. The soil is mainly clay and limestone.
  • Wine Making: Qualified as very good vintage. The harvest was manual, harvesting each plot and each variety separately, according to maturity. Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature. Prolonged maceration with the skins, but without astringency, in order to extract more colour, aromas and tannic
structure. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. Once the process is complete, the wines are transferred to barrels which are racked every 6 months and where they are aged for 24 months. After that, the wine is aged in the bottle for a minimum of 4 years before release.
